Common Questions

1. What do you do?

I help individuals, leaders, teams and organisations grow through a coaching-led approach to development. My work combines coaching, leadership development, facilitation, reflective practice and workshops to help people flourish, strengthen relationships and create healthier ways of working.

2. Are you a coach, trainer or facilitator?

All three—but coaching is at the heart of everything I do.

Rather than seeing these as separate services, I use coaching, facilitation and training together to create development that is practical, reflective and sustainable. The approach I use depends on what will best serve you, your team or your organisation.

3. Who do you work with?

I work with:

Individuals

Emerging Leaders

Senior Leaders

Leadership Teams

Churches

Charities

Professional Services

Purpose-driven organisations

Education settings

Whether you're seeking personal growth or organisational development, every piece of work is tailored to your context. I work with people of all faiths and none. My coaching is person-centred and inclusive, creating a space where every client feels respected and valued. As someone with over 25 years of church leadership experience, I also enjoy working with churches and Christian organisations. When clients specifically want to explore faith as part of coaching, I'm happy to integrate biblical wisdom alongside professional coaching practice.

4. What is Coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative conversation that helps people think more clearly, discover new perspectives and take ownership of meaningful change.

Rather than giving advice or telling people what to do, coaching helps people uncover their own insights and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

5. Is coaching like mentoring or counselling?

Not quite.

Mentoring draws on another person's experience and advice.

Counselling often focuses on understanding and healing past experiences.

Coaching is future-focused. It helps you build on where you are today, explore possibilities and move towards where you want to be.

Sometimes these approaches complement one another, but coaching has its own distinctive purpose.

6. What can coaching help with?

People come to coaching for many reasons, including:

Leadership development

Confidence

Communication

Career transitions

Relationships

Decision-making

Wellbeing

Boundaries

Team dynamics

Purpose and direction

Every coaching conversation is shaped around your goals.

7. What kinds of organisations do you work with?

I work with charities, churches, businesses, education settings and purpose driven organisations that want to invest in healthy leadership, stronger teams and organisational wellbeing.

8. Do you offer bespoke workshops?

Yes.

While I've established workshop themes, many organisations also want sessions designed specifically for their people, challenges and objectives.

9. Can you work with our leadership team?

Absolutely. I work with leadership teams through coaching, facilitation, reflective practice and workshops that strengthen communication, relationships and leadership effectiveness.

10. What is a Development Partner?

Some organisations benefit from ongoing support rather than one-off events.

A Development Partner provides regular coaching, facilitation and leadership development over time, allowing support to evolve as your organisation grows and faces new challenges.

11. Do you work online or in person?

Both. I coach individuals online and in person, and I facilitate workshops and team development sessions across the UK. Online delivery is also available for organisations with geographically dispersed teams.

12. How do we get started?

It all begins with a free Discovery Session. This gives us the opportunity to understand your goals, explore your context and decide together whether I'm the right person to support you.

13. How much do you charge?

Because every individual, team and organisation has different needs, I provide tailored proposals following an initial Discovery call. This ensures you receive an approach that is appropriate for you rather than a one-size-fits-all package.

14. Are your sessions confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is fundamental to creating a safe and trusting environment. Any exceptions would be discussed clearly in advance, particularly when working with organisations or safeguarding responsibilities.
